"The Smokin Toad" is now the President of the nation of Honduras. This is far from his humble beginnings as a simple toad from the jungle. His new life is filled with cigars and rallies for the people of Honduras. his time is filled with meetings and of course those few presious moments that he gets to smoke a fine "Smokin Toad" cigar.
I was on Walkabout with my girlfriend in the jungles of Northern Thailand. Our guide took us into a remote mountain-top village of the Akha Hill Tribe. As we prepared to bed down for the night, I caught a distinct whiff of burning tobacco. Tracing the scent to its source, foot of the Village Head's hut smoking a Cheroot(local version of a cigar). The chief said these toads were indigenous to this particualar area of the rainforest and were found nowhere else. These Toads were extremely intelligent and often copied certain human habits.
Many years passed and "The Smokin Toad" became more and more human. When the Toad was what he thought to be about twnety years old, he decided to move to the hills of Honduras. This is where our tobacco for our Smokin Toad cigars is grown. From there the Smokin Toad has grown to be a leader in his community.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras. President Manuel Zelaya was ousted in a pre-dawn military coup d’etat and flown to nearby Costa Rica. Military spokesman Ortega Chavez said he was acting under orders of the country’s supreme court. “President Zelaya had called for an illegal referendum to amend the country’s constitution that would allow an incumbent president to run for additional terms despite the constitution’s explicit 1 term limit of 4 years.” This is exactly what Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela, had done in order to extend his indefinite rule as President of that country. “ We are an orderly and law-abiding society and will defend Honduras’ constitution against any and all illegal referendums in an attempt to seize power ” says Chavez Ortega.
“This move was supported by both houses of Congress and has the backing of the Honduran people.” Despite the world- wide condemnation calling for the reinstatement of President Zelaya and in some cases possible direct military intervention from Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, Spokesman Ortega Chavez insists, “The Smokin Toad is a champion of the people. He is loved and trusted by all elements of Honduran society. He will fulfill his obligations and duties as President and defend the country’s constitution to his death!” So far, there has been no official response from other world leaders on The Smokin Toad’s elevation to the Presidency.
